|Ibrahim, Pam Fairbanks||.|| My grandfather was Saied Tayar, born in Jdeidet Marjeyoun.
He came to the US when the Turks were ruling Lebanon, and at Ellis Island they changed his last name to Taylor.
He owned a farm and a dry goods store in Oklahoma.
Our Lebanese heritage was kept alive by the foods we ate and the closeness we had with my grandfather's brothers and sisters and their families.
I would love to know more about the Tayar family and its roots in Lebanon.
